Elaine's accounting and finance journey began in Brazil, where she studied Business Administration, completed a postgraduate specialization in Corporate Finance, and later completed a degree in Accounting. She successfully passed the Brazilian CRC examination, becoming a Certified Accountant in Brazil, and had her Brazilian degrees and postgraduate credentials officially validated in Canada.
She began her professional career at just 16 years old with an administrative internship while still in high school. Shortly after starting her Business Administration studies, she joined an accounting firm, specializing in payroll, employee records, and termination calculations. During that time, she also began building her own private income tax client base in Brazil, relationships she continues to maintain today.
Over the years, Elaine worked across finance, payroll, HR, and accounting departments for several companies in Brazil, including one of the country's largest retail corporations. After moving to Canada, she continued her professional growth by studying Business Administration and Customer Service, then began her Canadian accounting career at a busy accounting firm working with bookkeeping, payroll, corporate accounting, and tax services for a wide range of clients.
Today, Elaine works full-time in the accounting field while continuing to grow ECR Tax & Bookkeeping, created to offer a more professional, welcoming, and personalized experience for clients who value both virtual and in-person support. Known for her attentive and patient approach, Elaine helps individuals and businesses feel confident, organized, and supported throughout every stage of their financial journey.
